Yes, it is a bit strange. But today I read that famous websites like Business Week, doesn't want to be linked (that's why there isn't the link).

This is what Gawker is reporting today, and it is a such bizarre news for those who are used to the web that also Punto Informatico write about it [italian].

Business Week write that User may not use or attempt to use any "deep-link". So, this is the problem, the deep-link. Yes, I agree, it is a paradox because the greatfull of the web is just the possibility to create exchange of news, over national borders and languages.

But, if you think better about it, you can find a motivation. If you link directly to an article, web user will enter into the page, bypassing the home page and the other sections. Three or four clicks is better than one!

This could be a controversial topic... can you imagine how many informations we could miss, if all websites would do the same thing?

I bow to Business Week, but sorry... I don't agree.

It is probably a purely commercial decision, the important ads would be on the front page.
